Jan & Kieran Attend 2020 Science Tools Workshop

On Friday 8th February Jan and Kieran attended the 2020 Science Tools Workshop held at Microsoft Research in Cambridge. 2020 Science is a programme run by Microsoft Research Cambridge, University College London, and the University of Oxford, that aims to 'encourage the next generation of natural scientists and tool builders to embrace a more computational approach in order to tackle some of the most pressing complex problems within natural science'

.

The workshop consisted of short scientific presentations and demonstrations of software being developed within the programme that could be used to enhance biological research that is making use of simulation. We attended to both view the current state of the art of the field and to determine whether any of the software under development in the programme could be of use in the development of eGUT.
