Simplifying Assumptions

in Models of Complex Systems: Break, Make, Justify

7TH MAY 2014 at the UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!

The deadline for registration passed on the 22nd of April. However, the limit on numbers is due to the catering arrangements and not the capacity of the lecture theatre, so if you just want to listen to some of the talks then that shouldn't be a problem.

Registering for the workshop

Registration is via email (link removed). Please note that although this is a free workshop where lunch and refreshments will be provided, we are unfortunately unable to cover travel/accommodation costs.

Workshop attendees are encouraged to present a poster on their research. This will be on show throughout the day, in the area where refreshments and lunch will be served. Please let us know the title of your poster when registering, along with the size (preferably A2 portrait).

The deadline for registration is the 22nd of April.

Applying to give a talk

Workshop attendees are welcome to submit abstracts for presentations: the provisional programme has space for 6 submitted presentations of 20 minutes (including questions). Please remember that the audience will consist of researchers from a wide range of disciplines, and so we ask that all presentations be general enough to be understood by all.

Please submit titles and abstracts by email (link removed) when registering. There is a 300 word limit for abstracts and a 200 character limit for titles. In the event that some attendees are unable to give a talk due to time restrictions, they will automatically be offered the opportunity to present a poster instead.

The deadline for submitting an abstract is the 14th of April.
