We welcome approaches from people who may be interested in joining the group at
a variety of levels.
PhD STUDENTS. Various PhD studentships are available each year. These are
awarded competitively within the School of Biosciences and are not allocated to
specific supervisors or projects. Details of current PhD projects are listed
here and on the
FindaPhD website, but we also welcome approaches from talented students with
their own project ideas.
POST-DOCS. If you are interested in joining the group as a post-doc, we would
normally expect you to apply for your own fellowship. We are always happy to
hear from people who are interested in taking this route. In addition, we
occasionally have vacant post-doc positions available on existing grants. These
are advertised on www.jobs.ac.uk, in the
scientific press and displayed here.
PROJECT STUDENTS & INTERNSHIPS. We occasionally take Undergraduate and
Masters-level students for research projects in the group. Those applying from
outside the University of Birmingham should send a C.V. to
Susannah, describing the project they
wish to work on and why.
